Footlo AI ("Footlo," "we," "us," or "our") is a real-time fan intelligence platform designed for fans attending and following the beautiful game across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We help fans navigate stadiums and cities, find food and local businesses, book transport, and access essential services — all in one app.

Footlo AI Inc. acts as the data controller for all personal data collected through the Footlo AI application and website.

We use the information we collect to provide and personalise your Footlo AI experience. This means recommending the clearest stadium gate based on real-time crowd data, showing you relevant food and transport options near you, and surfacing local businesses that match your preferences and dietary requirements. When you use the Ask Footlo AI feature, we process your query to generate a helpful response.

We send you match-day notifications only if you have explicitly opted in through your device's notification settings. You can withdraw this permission at any time. We use your information to respond to your support requests and to improve the app through anonymised analytics. We also use your information where required to comply with applicable law across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Footlo AI requests permission to access your location in order to power features that are most useful when you are at or near the stadium. With your permission, we use location data to recommend the clearest stadium gate based on your position, show you the nearest food, grocery, and medical options, and suggest the best transport options from your current location.

Footlo AI may process precise location on your device to provide features such as gate navigation and nearby recommendations. However, we do not store or retain precise GPS coordinates on our servers. Your exact location is never uploaded to or kept in our database. Location is processed on-device wherever technically possible.

You can deny location permission and still use most features of Footlo AI. You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings. Revoking access does not delete your account or any other data.

We retain your data only for as long as it is necessary to provide the service or as required by applicable law.

Because Footlo AI operates across three countries and serves fans from around the world, your privacy rights may differ depending on where you live. We honour all of the following rights to every user, regardless of location.

Footlo AI is not intended for children under the age of 13 in the United States and Canada, or under the minimum legal age required in your country (which is 16 in some EU member states). We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. The football experience Footlo is designed for is intended for teenage and adult fans.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the minimum applicable age, we will delete that data immediately and without notice. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@footlo.ai.

We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement industry-standard protections across every layer of the Footlo AI platform. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, the current gold standard for internet security. All data stored in our database is encrypted at rest through Google Firebase's built-in encryption system.

We use Firebase App Check to verify that every request to our backend comes from a legitimate Footlo AI app, preventing unauthorised access to our systems. Our authentication system uses secure, salted password hashing. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. While we follow best practices and invest in strong security, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you promptly as required by applicable law.

Footlo AI contains links and integrations with third-party services, including transport providers such as Uber, Lyft, and Waymo, food and grocery delivery services such as DoorDash and Instacart, travel insurance providers such as World Nomads and Allianz, and financial services such as Wise and Revolut. When you tap any of these links, you leave the Footlo AI app and enter those providers' own platforms.

Footlo AI is not responsible for the privacy practices, data handling, or security of any third-party service. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external service before providing them with your personal information. The presence of a link or integration in Footlo AI does not constitute an endorsement of that service's privacy practices.

Footlo AI is operated from the United States. When you use the app from Mexico, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other country, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. US data protection laws may differ from those in your home country.

We use Google Firebase as our primary infrastructure provider. Google provides appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, ensuring that your data receives a level of protection consistent with GDPR requirements regardless of where it is processed.

For transfers from Mexico: we conduct international transfers in compliance with the LFPDPPP and its applicable provisions on cross-border data transfers, ensuring that recipients provide equivalent levels of protection to those required under Mexican law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Footlo AI evolves, as new features are added, or as legal requirements change. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice before the change takes effect. For major changes that materially affect how we use your personal data, we will also send an email notification to the address associated with your account, giving you advance notice.

The "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page always reflects the date of the most recent revision. Your continued use of Footlo AI after a policy update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If you do not agree with any changes, you may delete your account at any time as described in Section 6.
